A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatrics to provide essential support to students across various grade levels. This contract position is within a school setting located in Kent, WA, offering a chance to work with children ranging from Pre-K through high school.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments tailored for early childhood and school-aged children.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to support communication development.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote students speech and language progress.
- Monitoring and documenting student progress while adjusting therapy approaches as needed.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to a supportive learning environment.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid SLP certification and licensure appropriate for pediatric school settings.
- Experience working with a diverse student population across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school levels.
- Strong knowledge of language development, articulation, fluency, and other speech disorders common in pediatric populations.
- Ability to engage effectively with children and collaborate with educational staff.
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and educational documentation.
