Exciting opportunities are available for motivated Speech-Language Pathologists seeking a rewarding contract experience within a dynamic school setting. This full-time, onsite position offers the chance to make a significant impact on student communication and development, working alongside dedicated educators in the New Orleans area.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure, or eligibility for licensure, in Louisiana
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Strong assessment, therapy, and documentation skills
- Flexibility to work with varying caseloads and age groups
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Willingness to complete required drug screening and fingerprinting for credentialing
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services in accordance with student IEPs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate closely with teachers, intervention teams, and families
- Adapt interventions to suit individual needs and ensure student progress
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions as scheduled
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, FERPA, and district policies
Position Details:
- Full-time schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, aligning with the academic calendar
- Assignment length: August 7, 2026 May 27, 2027
- School placements and caseload specifics will be determined upon assignment
- All placements and employment offers are contingent on approval of the school districts contract renewal at the June 3, 2026 board meeting
