What were looking for:
- Active SLP license in Louisiana
- Prior experience in a school environment strongly preferred
- Familiarity with caseload service delivery for early childhood and primary grades
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs; training provided for the districts IEP system
- Organized, reliable, and dedicated to meeting the individual needs of students
Responsibilities include:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy for Pre-K to 3rd grade students, including Head Start
- Complete assessments, progress monitoring, and documentation in line with district standards
- Develop and review IEP goals and participate in team meetings (admin time is offered for these activities)
- Maintain records and ensure compliance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate communication supports in the classroom
- Utilize a dedicated space for therapy on campus
