Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Valid (or ability to obtain) state licensure for speech-language pathology in Alaska
  • Previous experience with school-aged children preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams, including educators, families, and other specialists

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and hearing screenings and assessments for students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans meeting each student's needs as outlined in their IEPs
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services in both group and individual settings
  • Maintain thorough, up-to-date documentation, including progress notes and compliance records
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student progress
  • Offer education and resources to school personnel and parents regarding speech and language development
  • Stay current with best practices and participate in ongoing professional development
