Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Valid (or ability to obtain) state licensure for speech-language pathology in Alaska
- Previous experience with school-aged children preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams, including educators, families, and other specialists
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and hearing screenings and assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans meeting each student's needs as outlined in their IEPs
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services in both group and individual settings
- Maintain thorough, up-to-date documentation, including progress notes and compliance records
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student progress
- Offer education and resources to school personnel and parents regarding speech and language development
- Stay current with best practices and participate in ongoing professional development
