Candidates holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) are highly desired, and prior experience in school settings will prepare you for success as you collaborate with teachers, families, and support personnel. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current SLP-CCC required
  • Previous experience as a school-based SLP (preferred)
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and collaborative abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently with a diverse student population
  • Eligible for licensure as an SLP in Alaska (or willingness to obtain)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose students with speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative services to students in small group and one-on-one formats
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Offer guidance to teachers and families to support language development initiatives
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
