A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the remainder of the current school year within a K-12 educational setting in Kenai, Alaska. This contract position is ideal for professionals seeking meaningful work in a dynamic school environment, with the possibility for candidates willing to travel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy services to K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal guidelines for special education
- Participate in meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
Qualifications:
- Valid Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working as an SLP in school settings (K-12 preferred)
- Strong assessment and intervention skills across a range of speech and language disorders
- Ability to travel to or relocate to Alaska for the duration of the assignment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
