Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current license to practice as an SLP in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows will be considered
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
- Proficiency in assessing, diagnosing, and implementing evidence-based interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, voice, and fluency evaluations for students across grade levels
- Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other specialists
- Provide targeted therapy sessions to address student goals and ensure measurable progress
- Document student progress and maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with district and legal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff conferences, and serve as a resource for educational staff regarding speech-language concerns
- Offer support to classroom teachers on strategies for integrating speech-language objectives within the academic environment
