Job Description
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position in Keller, TX, supporting students within a school setting. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders to help students achieve effective communication skills essential for their academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Provide consultation and education to school staff regarding speech and language development
- Adapt therapy techniques to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as an SLP in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
- Experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage caseload and maintain documentation efficiently
