Job Description

A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position within a school setting located in Katy, TX. This role involves providing specialized speech and language services to support students' communication development and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with students' educational goals
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide expert recommendations
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to improve speech and language outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development and related disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Familiarity with federal and state special education regulations and documentation requirements
