Job Description
A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position within a school setting located in Katy, TX. This role involves providing specialized speech and language services to support students' communication development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with students' educational goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide expert recommendations
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to improve speech and language outcomes
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and related disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with federal and state special education regulations and documentation requirements
