Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current CCC-SLP certification and active Alaska state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in school settings preferred, though strong clinical backgrounds will be considered
- Proficient in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for a diverse range of speech and language disorders
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and administrators
- Comfortable adapting to the needs of individual students and dynamic school environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in groups
- Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with all state and federal guidelines
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and progress monitoring for students of varying ages and abilities
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support students communication goals
- Maintain accurate records and produce reports as required by the district and regulatory agencies
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities
- Foster an inclusive setting that encourages student engagement and growth
