Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Valid SLP license in Alaska (or the ability to obtain prior to start date)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
  • Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate well with teachers, parents, and other professionals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students with diverse needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student IEPs
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team conferences
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district regulations
  • Consult with educators and families to support students learning and communication goals
  • Foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive therapeutic environment for students
