Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting students in a dynamic school environment near Kansas City, MO. In this full-time, onsite role, youll play a pivotal part in helping students strengthen their communication abilities and succeed academically and socially. The assignment runs from late August through the end of May, offering a consistent weekday schedule from 9am to 4:40pm.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and therapists
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in school-age children
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that align with students educational goals
- Consult and coordinate with teachers, families, and support staff
- Document progress and maintain compliance with school and state documentation requirements
- Adapt intervention strategies to meet a variety of student needs
- Engage actively in IEP meetings as needed
