A dynamic contract opportunity awaits for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about working in a school environment with children in PreK through 5th grade. This assignment is based onsite near Kansas City, KS, and offers a collaborative, supportive environment where youll work alongside educators and other therapy professionals.
Your expertise will contribute to the communication growth and academic success of students with a variety of speech and language challenges.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and active Kansas SLP license
- Valid Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) license
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) by ASHA
- Experience with pediatric caseloads, preferably in school or educational settings
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy for students in PreK-5th grades
- Develop and implement individualized IEP goals and therapy plans
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to promote optimal student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on speech/language interventions and student needs
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in the field
