Job Description

Speech-language pathologists excited to support students in a dynamic school setting will thrive in this full-time contract opportunity located near Kansas City, KS. Assignments are available for the upcoming school year, with start dates in August and roles extending through late spring. Openings span a range of grade levels from kindergarten through 12th grade, offering a chance to make a meaningful difference across a diverse student population.

Professionals in this role will work a consistent 37.5-hour week, covering 1-3 school campuses. Flexibility and adaptability will be important as specific caseload details will be finalized closer to the assignment start. We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience and credentials, including those holding CCCs, completing their Clinical Fellowship (CF), or certified SLPAs. All services will take place on site.

Qualifications and Preferred Background:

  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
  • ASHA certification (CCC) or in process of Clinical Fellowship (CF) strongly preferred
  • Experience providing speech/language services to K-12 students, or strong enthusiasm for school-based work
  • Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and school staff
  • Ability to work at multiple campus locations during the assignment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain thorough documentation on student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings as required
