Make an immediate impact by providing Speech-Language Pathology services to students across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school levels. This contract opportunity, based near Kalamazoo, MI, runs for the current school year and may be extended into the next academic year based on performance. You will play a key role in helping students develop essential communication skills, contributing meaningfully to their academic and social growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Michigan is required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) must be current
- Experience working with students from preschool to high school preferred
- Strong collaboration skills to work with educators, parents, and special education teams
- Well-versed in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and monitoring progress
- Ability to adapt strategies to different age groups and educational settings
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Design and implement individualized therapy plans in both individual and group settings
- Maintain accurate documentation for assessments, progress reports, and IEPs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing appropriate goals
- Offer guidance to classroom teachers and parents to support student development
- Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure effective interventions and measurable progress
- Engage in ongoing professional development and remain updated on best practices
