A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide essential support to elementary students from kindergarten through 5th grade. This onsite position, based in Kalamazoo, MI, offers a contract through the current school year with a schedule exceeding 22 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to K-5th grade students in an elementary school setting
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and inclusion
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Michigan Speech Language Pathologist license required
- Experience working with school-age children, preferably in elementary settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively while providing individualized care
