This exciting contract position offers the opportunity to work onsite with a dynamic team serving elementary, middle, and high school students with a range of mild to severe disabilities.
As a valued Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll provide essential services including assessments, direct therapy, and collaboration with fellow educators and families. You'll play a vital role in shaping strategies and interventions that make learning accessible and communication achievable for every student.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous school-based SLP experience highly preferred
- Comfort providing services to students with diverse needs and varying disability categories
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
- Ability to work onsite five days a week, seven hours per day
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for assigned students
- Design and deliver individualized therapy sessions
- Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- Maintain thorough evaluation and progress documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and modifications
