Preferred Background and Skills:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for Alaska (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates welcome
- Experience in schools or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Knowledge of IEP process and best practices for therapy documentation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills
- Comfortable with a diverse caseload ranging from early childhood through high school
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with teachers and special education staff
- Provide direct therapeutic services, both individually and in groups
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, delivering expert recommendations and support to families and educators
- Contribute to a positive, supportive learning environment, adapting strategies to student needs
