Positions are available for certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) passionate about facilitating communication and learning for children and adolescents with a wide range of needs. This contract role offers placements for the upcoming 26/27 school year, collaborating with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams. Assignment locations and caseloads will be finalized in late spring, allowing for flexibility and consideration of candidate location preferences.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Minimum of several years of relevant experience.
- Current Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired or Communications Disorder Endorsement, or State of Oregon Speech-Language Pathology License.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred.
- Expertise working with moderate/severe disabilities and both low/high-tech augmentative communication systems preferred.
- Valid Oregon Drivers License.
- Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and staff.
- Commitment to confidentiality concerning student and school information.
- Must be open to onsite-only assignments; flexibility regarding specific school placement is appreciated.
- First Aid/CPR certification may be required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy and evaluation for assigned students.
- Collaborate on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Consult and team with professionals such as school psychologists and special education staff.
- Serve as an integral resource on augmentative and alternative communication.
- Communicate progress and strategies to families and educational teams.
