Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across multiple grade levels for the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers 37.5 hours per week and serves K-12 students in a vibrant, diverse educational setting near Joliet, IL. There are three openings available, providing the chance to collaborate with fellow professionals and make a lasting difference in the lives of young learners.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Current Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP Endorsement
  • Eligible or currently completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcome
  • Experience or training in school settings (elementary, middle, or high school)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt evaluation and therapy strategies to diverse age groups and language needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy for students in kindergarten through grade 12
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student success
  • Maintain progress documentation and participate in IEP meetings
  • Use evidence-based practices across various caseloads and communication challenges
  • Support social, academic, and communication skills through direct and consultative interventions
