Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2025/2026 school year, providing skilled speech-language pathology services in a supportive school setting near Joliet, IL. From August 2026 through May 2027, youll work full-time (32.537.5 hours per week) helping students reach important communication goals across a diverse caseload.
Youll join a collaborative educational environment, working with students who need direct intervention and those who benefit from consultative support. The assignment covers both Morris and Minooka caseloads, including direct and consult cases, with opportunities to make a meaningful impact in specialized classrooms, such as autism programs at Minooka Intermediate and Walnut Trails.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of Illinois
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience working in school settings is required
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to student-specific needs, including consult and high-minute caseloads
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech and language therapy to assigned students
- Conduct necessary assessments and participate in the development of IEPs
- Deliver both direct and consultative services as needed (service to 39 students in direct and consult roles across several school sites)
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation as required by state and district regulations
