Job Description

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in an elementary school setting in Joliet, IL. This contract position is designed to cover a leave period, offering a valuable chance to provide essential therapy services for young learners.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children
  • Strong knowledge of school-based evaluation and intervention protocols
  • Ability to design and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, parents, and staff

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
  • Develop and deliver therapy sessions targeting speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized education program development
