Step into a dynamic full-time contract opportunity working closely with students across several school sites in the Joliet, IL area. This position supports educational communities in need after a recent late resignation, making your expertise particularly impactful. As an on-site Speech-Language Pathologist, you will have the chance to travel between locations in Morris, Gardner, and South Wilmington, offering varied and meaningful daily experiences.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Illinois
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
- Ability to work on-site across multiple school locations within close proximity
- Skilled at conducting assessments, developing goals, and implementing therapy plans for students with diverse needs
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Complete evaluations, monitor progress, and document student outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff to enhance student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for service and instructional strategies
- Travel to multiple schools each week, ensuring consistent support across assigned sites
- Maintain compliance with all documentation and state/federal guidelines
