Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract position supporting elementary students in a vibrant school community for Fall 2026. This full-time assignment begins in September and lasts 12 weeks, offering more than 35 hours per week onsite near Jersey City, NJ. Three positions are availabletwo at elementary schools with high Autism and preschool populations, serving K-5th grades, and an additional school-based placement to be determined. This role focuses exclusively on onsite delivery of services. Clinical Fellows with external supervision are welcome, though SLPs with CCC credentials are given preference. Please note, supervision is not available through the district, and SLPAs are not eligible for this particular opportunity.

Qualifications:

  • Active NJ Speech-Language Pathology License
  • Valid NJ SLS (Speech-Language Specialist) Certification
  • Experience with Autism Spectrum populations, preschoolers, and elementary-age children highly desirable
  • ASHA CCCs preferred; CFs considered with external supervision
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Passion for working in a school setting

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to K-5th grade students, including those on the Autism spectrum
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure individualized support
  • Complete evaluations, IEP documentation, and progress reports according to school and state guidelines
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the overall success of the student population
