Job Description
Make a meaningful impact as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students across multiple school sites in the Jacksonville area. This engaging, school-based contract runs from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027, and offers the opportunity to work with a diverse PreK-12 student population. Expect a varied, moderate caseload of approximately 60 students, as you travel between campuses to deliver quality speech and language services where theyre needed most.
Key Qualities and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active Florida Department of Health SLP licensure required
- Experience working with school-age children across PreK12 is preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
- Willingness to support multiple locations in an itinerant role
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and families
- Monitor student progress and maintain timely, compliant documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Provide in-service training or consultation as needed for school staff
- Ensure all credentialing, including fingerprinting and JLA badge processes, are completed to meet district requirements
