Step into a fulfilling role supporting K-12 students as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, located near Irmo, SC. This contract position runs the full 202627 school year and is fully onsite. Youll work a steady 37.5 hours each week in a collaborative school environment, making a real difference in childrens lives.
Key Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina SLP license
- Current SC Educator Certification
- Clinical experience with pediatric populations
- Familiarity with school-based SLP responsibilities, including IEP development
- Strong knowledge of assessments and progress monitoring
- Comfort with a variety of speech-language modalities, including direct therapy and documentation
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments with K12 students
- Create individualized and effective student goals based on assessment outcomes
- Lead and participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with families and educational teams
- Deliver direct therapy services to students onsite
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress reports as required by the school
- Coordinate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary team members to support each students success
This position values professionals familiar with traditional and best-practice school-based SLP methods, including those with SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, and previous experience in education or pediatric healthcare settings. While this role is 100% onsite, paid travel time ensures your time is valued, and there is the potential for mileage reimbursement upon confirmation.
