Make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist within a supportive school environment near Irmo, SC. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity allows you to work closely with students, helping them overcome speech and language challenges, and supporting their academic and social success from August 2026 through May 2027.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLP in South Carolinas schools
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct therapy sessions tailored to student goals and abilities
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular updates to parents and staff
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure comprehensive support for students
- Stay current on best practices in speech-language pathology, continuing education as needed
