Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing Speech-Language Pathology services in a vibrant educational setting. Were seeking several SLPs with a passion for promoting communication skill development within school environments. Located in the Palm Desert area, this role offers the chance to impact students across multiple schools throughout the upcoming 25-26 school year.
In this school-based SLP position, youll handle a diverse caseload with ages and grade levels determined prior to the start of the school year. You will implement typical SLP responsibilities, including conducting evaluations, developing and managing IEPs, and providing both direct and indirect services.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders
- Active CA SLP license or California CTC
- Ability to work independently without on-site clinical SLP supervision
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants encouraged to apply
- Strong organizational skills for handling multiple school assignments
- Background in pediatrics and previous school-based experience appreciated
- Familiarity with IEP development and student evaluations
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services as outlined in student IEPs
- Administer comprehensive assessments and interpret results
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop student-centered plans
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress notes
- Travel to multiple assigned school sites within the school district
