This opportunity is for several licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to serve multiple schools within a vibrant educational district in Palm Desert, CA. This contract position begins with the 2025-2026 school year, offering a 37.5-hour workweek dedicated to providing high-quality speech and language support to school-aged children.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid California SLP license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification
• Experience or training with pediatric and school-aged populations
• Credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist holding CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
• Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion or supervision readiness
• Ability to perform evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and provide both direct and indirect speech-language services
• Previous experience in school settings highly desirable

Location: Palm Desert, California (Multiple school assignments across the district)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify student needs
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student goals
• Provide direct therapeutic services along with indirect support and consultation to educational staff
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote communication development
• Manage caseload effectively, with ages and grade levels to be determined closer to the academic year
• Maintain detailed records and comply with all district and state reporting requirements

Additional Information:

• This role does not include supervision provided by district staff such as paraprofessionals or nurses; independent clinical and educational decision-making is expected
• Candidates should be prepared for assignments across various schools within the district
