Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students' communication and academic success. This full-time, onsite position is conveniently located near Independence, MO, and runs the duration of the academic year, from late August through May. You'll work a consistent schedule, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:40 pm, collaborating with teams to make a true difference in student lives.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Recent experience in a school-based environment strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and grade levels
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Approachable, compassionate, and collaborative attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students onsite
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain up-to-date records and progress documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and related school-based activities
- Flexibility to serve diverse age groups and caseload assignments
