A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available in Hyattsville, MD, serving a middle and high school caseload of 25 to 30 students with moderate disabilities. This permanent position in a school setting offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills and overall academic success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive speech and language assessments and individualized interventions tailored to student needs
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement effective communication plans
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with school policies
- Supporting students with moderate disabilities in achieving their communication goals within a school environment
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Maryland SLP licensure is required
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working with school-aged students, particularly middle and high school populations
- Ability to manage a caseload of 25-30 students with diverse communication challenges
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering student growth and success
