The role provides service to K-12 learners, supporting a diverse group of students and playing a pivotal part in their success. You'll assess, diagnose, and offer evidence-based speech and language interventions to help students achieve their academic and social goals.
Qualifications:
- Massachusetts SLP license (required)
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Ability to work with K-12 students with a range of speech and language needs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Prior school-based experience preferred, but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine speech and language therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services in accordance with school policies
- Maintain documentation and progress reports as required by the district and state
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
