Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license for Alabama
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or closely related field
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (CFY) will be considered
  • Previous experience in a school setting is beneficial, though not required
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

What Youll Do:

  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student progress
  • Maintain thorough documentation of interventions, progress, and outcomes
  • Offer support and consultation to school staff to promote generalization of communication skills in the classroom
