Make a difference as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students in an engaging school environment near Humble, TX! This contracted position focuses on helping children develop critical communication skills and empowering them to reach their full potential in an inclusive educational setting.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active ASHA CCC-SLP certification (or CFY with supervision)
- Current state license in Speech-Language Pathology, or eligibility
- Recent experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Willingness to work with students across a variety of grade levels and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students as outlined in IEPs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute knowledgeable recommendations
- Document therapies, progress, and data in accordance with district policies
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services
- Support a positive, safe, and inclusive learning atmosphere for all students
