Desired Background:
- Valid and current Speech-Language Pathologist license in Michigan
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience working in school settings (Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High School) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong evaluation, intervention, and documentation skills
- Compassionate and flexible approach, adapting services to student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students aged preschool through high school
- Conduct professional assessments and develop individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in line with district and state standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary planning
- Offer consultative support to staff and families
