This in-person, contract role is located near Howell, MI and extends through the remainder of the school year. Offering both full-time (37.5 hours/week) and part-time schedule options, this position gives you the flexibility to find the right work-life balance, while still making a meaningful impact within an educational community.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC-SLP or CFY accepted) for the state of Michigan
- Prior experience delivering speech therapy in an elementary school or with children ages 5-11 is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation of student goals
- Skilled in both individual and group therapy interventions
- Excellent communication abilities with students, families, and colleagues
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, in-person speech and language therapy to students in grades K-5
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and parents to support student communication needs
- Evaluate student speech, language, and communication skills, conducting assessments as required
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate progress records and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt therapy strategies to meet each students abilities and goals
