Job Description

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active SLP license (or eligibility) for the state of Texas
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, CFY considered
  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly desired
  • Familiarity with IEP development and documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills and adaptability to diverse student needs

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students speech and language needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on IEP goals
  • Deliver both individual and group therapy services focused on a variety of speech and language disorders
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation to ensure compliance with educational guidelines
  • Contribute actively to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Educate and provide guidance to school staff and families on speech-language strategies
  • Stay current on best practices and continuing education relevant to school-based speech pathology
