Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license (or eligibility) for the state of Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, CFY considered
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly desired
- Familiarity with IEP development and documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills and adaptability to diverse student needs
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students speech and language needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on IEP goals
- Deliver both individual and group therapy services focused on a variety of speech and language disorders
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation to ensure compliance with educational guidelines
- Contribute actively to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Educate and provide guidance to school staff and families on speech-language strategies
- Stay current on best practices and continuing education relevant to school-based speech pathology
