Job Description

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Texas SLP license and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or eligible for clinical fellowship (CF)
  • Previous experience in a K-12 setting preferred, but not required
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to plan and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assess the communication abilities of students and create individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to their needs
  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy sessions, individually or in groups
  • Consult and collaborate with educators, parents, and other support staff to facilitate students academic and social success
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
  • Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, offering insights and recommendations
  • Provide training or guidance to school staff and families to support student goals in the classroom and at home
