Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the school setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Contract professionals have the chance to collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to enhance student communication, language, and literacy skills.

Key qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Experience working with school-aged children (preferred)
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans for a diverse student population
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic school environment and varied caseloads

Primary responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs
  • Provide direct therapy sessions using evidence-based practices, both individually and in group settings
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with teachers and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and consultations with multidisciplinary teams
  • Serve as a resource for school staff regarding student communication needs and support classroom strategies
