As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), youll be instrumental in helping learners grow and thrive by addressing speech, language, and communication challenges within an educational environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active state licensure as an SLP (or eligibility for licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (CF) will be considered
- Previous experience in a school setting is advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities
- Passion for supporting students with diverse backgrounds and needs
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Work closely with teachers, families, and administrators to support student progress
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation and comply with school policies and state/federal regulations
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as needed
- Offer guidance and resources for staff and families to foster communication skills
