Job Description
Make a meaningful difference for young learners in a supportive and collaborative school environment by providing speech-language therapy services on a flexible, part-time contract basis. Work with PreK through 3rd grade studentsincluding a Head Start classat a single campus, focusing on communication skills that will help them thrive academically and socially.
Start making an impact immediately and continue through the end of the school year (May 2026) with a manageable 10-hour-per-week schedule. Youll have access to dedicated therapy space and robust support, with ongoing training for the districts IEP system to ensure you feel confident and integrated into the team.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current, valid Louisiana state SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior pediatric or school-based experience preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Comfortable working autonomously with young children in a school setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide direct therapy to students in PreK-3rd grades
- Document progress and collaborate in the IEP process
- Work closely with school staff, parents, and other professionals
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in team meetings as part of a collaborative support network
