Job Description

What you bring:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state SLP license or eligibility for licensure prior to start date
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based and pediatric therapy
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat various speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills for working closely with students, teachers, and families
  • Proficiency with relevant documentation, progress monitoring, and assistive technology
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language services to students, both individually and in groups, as outlined in IEPs
  • Conduct assessments to determine students speech and language strengths and needs
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans targeting communication goals
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to support student success across settings
  • Maintain clear, timely documentation and actively participate in meetings and progress reviews
  • Offer resources and training to school staff and families regarding speech-language development
  • Stay current on best practices and continuing education relevant to the school setting
