Job Description

This position focuses on providing dedicated 1:1 nursing support for a first-grade student with complex medical needs throughout the entire school year. Working part-time, two days per week, you will collaborate with a supportive educational team and be instrumental in this students daily classroom experience.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon
  • Experience with pediatric, school, or healthcare settings preferred
  • Comfortable providing care for children with complex medical needs, including ventilator and respiratory support
  • Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with educators and parents
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting student wellness and participation in school activities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the students ventilator care, manage breathing treatments, and address airway concerns promptly
  • Administer suctioning and monitor for potential medical emergencies related to respiratory equipment
  • Assist with bathroom needs and other activities of daily living as required
  • Work closely with educational professionals to ensure the students safe inclusion in the classroom
  • Track and document health-related observations and interventions throughout each shift
