Step into a fulfilling SLP opportunity at a vibrant pediatric outpatient clinic in sunny South Florida. This contract position runs for one year, with the potential for extensions or permanent placement for those seeking to develop deeper roots in their career. You'll have the chance to provide individualized support to children aged 2 to 18, working one-on-one to make a meaningful difference in their communication development.
In this role, you'll collaborate with a supportive clinical team while focusing on a primarily mild to moderate caseload. Youll address a range of needs including pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, articulation, reading and writing delays, and autismmost clients are high-functioning and eager to engage. There are no medically fragile cases, allowing you to concentrate your energy on enriching interventions and measurable growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- Active state licensure (CCC-SLP or Clinical Fellowship Year candidates are welcome).
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric speech therapy, preferably in a school or outpatient setting.
- Comfortable overseeing assessments, evaluations, and direct therapy sessions.
- Ability to participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators and families.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct individualized assessments and evaluations.
- Deliver direct therapy tailored to each child's needs and goals.
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of IEPs.
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and educational staff.
- Monitor and document progress regularly.
