Job Description

Located in Homestead, FL, this opportunity offers a one-year contract position for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatrics, with potential for extension or permanent placement. Serving children ages 2 to 18 in an outpatient pediatric clinic, the role focuses on providing individualized therapy rather than group sessions.

This position is ideal for a certified SLP with experience in school settings and pediatric care. You will work primarily with children exhibiting mild to moderate speech and language impairments, including challenges in pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading, writing delays, articulation, and high-functioning autism. The caseload excludes medically fragile children, allowing concentration on developmental and educational goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations
  • Delivering direct individual therapy tailored to each childs needs
  • Collaborating with educators and families during Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Documenting progress and adjusting therapy plans accordingly

Qualifications:

  • SLP license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Experience with pediatric populations, especially school-aged children
  • Familiarity with speech and language disorders common in educational and clinical settings
  • Strong skills in assessment, intervention planning, and IEP participation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
