Step into an exciting contract opportunity working with a pediatric outpatient clinic in beautiful south Florida. This one-year role, with the possibility of extensions or permanent placement, invites you to make a lasting difference in the lives of children ages 2 to 18. As a valued Speech-Language Pathologist, youll provide individualized therapy sessions (no group work) focused on supporting children with primarily mild to moderate needs. Your caseload will include students with challenges in pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading, writing, articulation, and high-functioning autism.
Youll play a central part in guiding your clients through comprehensive assessment, evaluation, and direct therapy interventions. Collaboration is key: youll participate in IEP meetings and work closely with caring families and interdisciplinary teamsall in a community that values your expertise.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license; CCC or CFY accepted
- Experience with school-aged or pediatric populations required
- Comfortable working with ages 218 and a variety of mild to moderate communication needs
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for language, articulation, and autism interventions
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dedication to positive outcomes and individualized support
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and re-evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide one-on-one therapy (no groups) targeting communication goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and document progress notes
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure success
- Stay current on best practices in pediatric and school-based SLP services
