Make an impact in the lives of students as a contract Speech Language Pathologist working with K-12 learners in a school-based setting near Holyoke, MA. You'll have the opportunity to help students thrive academically and socially by providing expert evaluation, intervention, and support as they develop vital communication skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current Speech Language Pathologist license in Massachusetts (SLP-CCC)
- Prior experience working with pediatric or school-age populations preferred
- Strong knowledge of a variety of speech and language disorders
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy and interventions to students individually and in group settings according to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and evaluations
- Work closely with teachers and other school staff to integrate therapy into classroom activities
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to discuss students progress and address concerns
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to shape personalized goals and supports
