Qualifications:
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Valid SLP license for South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working within school settings is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other therapists
- Effective organizational and documentation abilities
Your daily impact will include:
- Conducting screenings, assessments, and individualized therapy for students with speech, language, or communication challenges
- Developing and implementing IEP goals in coordination with teachers and families
- Maintaining accurate progress notes and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Providing mentorship and support for students in both group and one-on-one settings
- Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team conferences
- Educating staff and caregivers on strategies to support student communication
