Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' communication needs as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. Work in a supportive environment with supervision available for Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF), in one of the most collaborative school settings in North Carolina.
Youll be working a full-time schedule, providing intervention and evaluations to a diverse caseloadup to 35 studentsacross the district's east and southern areas. District assigns caseloads based on your strengths and preferences, with specifics discussed during the interview. The district is particularly interested in individuals who have experience or a strong professional interest in Autism (AU) and students with low cognitive disabilities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active North Carolina SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, although strong Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF) will be considered with supervision provided
- Prior experience in school-based settings is an asset
- Background with Autism and low cognitive disabilities is highly desirable
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with teachers, parents, and support teams
- SLPA credentials not accepted for these positions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and therapy for a school-based caseload
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and families to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school district and state requirements
