Job Description

Step into a pivotal role supporting students communication and learning needs as a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 20262027 academic year. This position offers an engaging environment with the opportunity to serve a diverse student population in a school-based setting near High Point, NC. The contract runs from August 26, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with full-time hours of 37.5 per week (7.5 hours per day) and an on-site presence required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Current SLP license and active educator certification in North Carolina
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) mandated
  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required
  • Deep commitment to evidence-based practice and collaborative problem solving
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
  • Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Deliver direct therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, as outlined in student IEPs
  • Document progress, monitor outcomes, and maintain ongoing communication with all stakeholders
  • Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP meetings, and provide consultation support to staff and caregivers
  • Adapt approaches to meet the unique needs of a changing caseload (assignments are TBD)
  • Maintain rigorous and timely records as required by school and district protocols
