Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, therapy techniques, and IEP processes
- Experience working with school-aged children, including both individual and group therapy sessions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication evaluations for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting specific communication needs
- Provide direct therapy services and monitor progress towards outlined goals
- Consult with educators, families, and staff to facilitate generalization of skills and provide support
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in team meetings and conferences
- Employ evidence-based therapy practices and maintain compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines
- Support students in accessing their curriculum through adaptive and innovative techniques
