Make a difference in the lives of elementary students by providing high-quality speech-language pathology services in a dynamic educational setting near Hialeah, FL. This contract opportunity is ideal for SLPs passionate about supporting young learners as part of a collaborative school-based team.
You'll deliver services onsite, working closely with students and educators from ASAP through June 1, 2027, making a positive impact throughout the academic year.
What You'll Bring:
- Valid Florida SLP license
- Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged children
- Familiarity with school-based and healthcare SLP practices
- Ability to manage IEP processes (IEP meetings are infrequent)
- Willingness to work 6 guaranteed hours per week in an onsite capacity
- Commitment to evidence-based pediatric intervention strategies
- CFY candidates welcome, CCC preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary students
- Assess and document student progress, and participate in the development of IEP goals
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maximize student growth
- Deliver services consistent with school-based requirements and ethical standards
- Participate in ongoing professional development and utilize mentorship resources
